ISSUANCE OF NEW PASSPORTS
As an authorized agent for processing Application for Passports, approved by Regional Passport Office, Kozhikode , under Code No. 100, STAR OF ASIA is fully geared up in processing the Passport Application through on-line, at any time.
Documents required for applying of Passports are SSLC /CBSE/SCHOOL CERTIFICATE and 6 photos. If the applicant is born on or after 26th January 1989, original Birth Certificate will also be required.
Those who do not possess School Certificate, he/she can apply for Passport with ID card along with a Notary Affidavit, provided his/her age is 45 or more.
ISSUANCE OF CHILDREN’S PASSPORT
Parents’ original passports will be needed to process a Child’s Passport. In case father’s original passport cannot be submitted, a consent Letter from Embassy with copies of his passport and mother’s original passport will be enough along with child’s Original Birth Certificate and 4 photos. If original passports of father and mother cannot be submitted, Embassy letter issued in favor of both of them will be required
RENEWAL OF PASSPORTS
For renewing a Passport, Original passport with 6 photos are required. In case there is an address change, Election ID is acceptable provided Postal Pin code is reflected in the card. Alternatively, Driving License, Bank Passport Book, Gas Book or Community Certificate (if OBC category)- any one document is acceptable provided address shown is correct.
If one needs to incorporate spouse name in the Passport, original marriage certificate will be required.
Panchayath or Municipality issued Marriage Certificate is a must if marriage was taken place after 28th February 2008.
For renewal of a Child’s Passport, original passports of child, mother and copies of father’s passport & 4 photos will be required
TATKAL PASSPORTS
For processing of Tatkal Passport applications, the applicant must submit 3 documents with same residential address of which one should be a photo-affixed document. In addition to this, a Tatkal Notary is also required
In this case, the applicant has to go to the Passport Office personally along with the application and normally it takes about 7 days to receive the passport
EMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS:
Passports are divided into two categories as follows:
- Passports with endorsement “Emigration Check Required “ (ECR)
- Passports with endorsement “ Emigration Check Not Required” (ECNR)
If Passport application is submitted with S.S.L.C/CBSE passed Certificates, one should usually get the passport with ECNR endorsement
If date of birth is different between SSLC and birth certificate, then Plus 2 Certificate will also be required..
If the passport is issued with ECR endorsement, an emigration clearance from Protector of Emigrants is required to travel out of India except travel to certain countries.
Those who stayed out of the country 3 years or above can easily obtain ECNR endorsement in the passport through Passport Office.
Anyone who have completed 50 years or above can also easily obtain ECNR endorsement in his/her passport from the Passport Office.
However, Passport holders who have the stamp of ECNR in the passport need not require emigration clearance from POE for going to any countries.
